Art may come in various forms. One involves the use of Paper Mache Glue and other substances to mold beautiful items. The adhesive can be made using many techniques. Some involve the use of home ingredients. The following are the recipes that can be used:

Adhesive made from wheat flour and water: You need 1 cup of water, 1/4 cup flour and 5 cups of boiled water. Mix the flour with 1 cup of water. Stir gently. It should be thin and watery. Add the mixture to 5 cups of boiling water. Heat at low flame. Stir gently and allow to cool. You can also try the following: Add 1 part of cooked flour with 5 parts of water. Heat in low heat for 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat. Add few teaspoons of salt. The salt keeps the mixture together for weeks. Stir gently. The paste is smooth and works with any item.

Another Paper Mache Glue recipe: Use 1/3 cup of wheat flour, 2 tablespoons sugar, 1 cup water and 1/4-table spoon oil. Mix the flour and sugar. Then slowly add water. Stir the mixture strongly. No lumps should be present. Cook the mixture in the low heat. Stir it in the middle. Remove the mixture from the heat. Add oil. Oil preserves the mixture. It will be very clear. The adhesive prepared by this method will be smooth and thick. Store in a clean jar.

Paper Mache Glue can be made using 3 parts of white glue and 1 part of water. The mixture is messy but efficient. Most of the home made adhesives are edible thus safe with children. The risk of allergies is low. They take time to dry. The adhesives are smooth and easy to work with.
