Hospitals can be quite nauseating due to the many chemicals, medicines, surgical tools and liquids that are to be found there. Imagine the many tools and substances doctors have to come into contact with everyday as they go about their day's work. They treat different people suffering from different ailments, and this only means that they have to use varied chemicals and substances in the process. In the light of this, there is need for them to have some protective clothing to protect their hands from harm by such things.
This is where the nitrile gloves come in. They are protective garments that are specially designed to be worn on the hands. They are also referred to as mitts. Gloves are made from a number of different materials and they have mostly been used as garments that are meant to keep the hand warm, but today, their uses are quite diversified.
In the past, doctors used rubber or latex mitts in hospitals, but these ones proved to be unreliable because they were prone to punctures, wear and tear. This is when the need to introduce much more firm and tough mitts arose and this is how the nitrile gloves came into the market. They were made of high quality non-latex material, which is more resistant to tears and friction.
Nitrile gloves come in three different grades, the first one being the best for medical use, the second for emergency medical services like paramedics and the third grade is the utility grade which is not recommendable for use in the medical field. They are to be used for lighter jobs like painting. When you store them, be sure not to put them in a place where there is direct exposure to light or heat lest you will destroy them.
