Other factors are beyond us but we can take care of what we can while we still can. Some factors like the rising fuel prices are beyond us but we can take measures to ensure that we scale the fuel we buy as much as we can.

To improve the gas mileage there are a few things that you can do to enjoy the performance of your car. Always take care of your vehicle by having it regularly checked and serviced. During the servicing get the old oil changed and the air filters replaced. the interior parts must also be cleaned to keep away dust that tampers with the proper functioning of the car system. Avoid using the air conditioner when you can. Drive with the windows closed to keep the pressure down and this way you will avoid burning a lot of fuel.

Too much idling on the roads will always reduce your car efficiency as far as fuel consumption is concerned. For this reason it is best that that you avoid using congested roads and those with many traffic rules and regulations. When it comes to parking, do not park under direct sunlight as this will vaporize a good amount of your fuel.

As for other driving habits, keep the speed constant and avoid rushing on a highway, high acceleration means more fuel consumption. drive on the highway whenever possible and keep tires under the correct pressure.
