Declutter Life With These 3 Easy Tips
By Joesph Merton
If you are ready to declutter life, then you will want to read this article. Specifically, we're going to discuss three tips that are easy to implement and will naturally lead to a clutter free life. After reading this article, you will have a short three step plan to start decluttering today.
The first tip is to declutter for only 15 minutes at a time. setting aside a block of time for decluttering is an excellent way to keep you from being overwhelmed. A small block like this is long enough to make a noticeable difference in your clutter, but not so long that you'll want to give up. There are two small tricks you may want to use with this tip.
The first trick a stay in one room. So, when you're ready to start your 15 minutes, go to the room that is bothering you the most. Make sure to set up a timer or take a good look at your watch. Straighten up for a full 15 minutes and do not leave that room until the 15 minutes are up.
The second trick is to make this into a daily habit. Start today and continue to do it every day for 17 days straight. If you miss a day start over again. When you complete a full 17 days of doing this you will have established habit that will keep clutter at bay for the rest of your life.
The second tip to help you declutter life is get rid of everything you don't meet. Is it beautiful? Does it make you feel fantastic? Does it fulfill a functional necessity for you? If the answer is no to all three of these questions, then you don't need it. Toss in the trash or give it away to someone who can use, just get it out of your space.
The third tip is to learn to make a place for everything. Start with one small area, preferably someplace that will make a difference, meaning you use it everyday. If you start with your bathroom, for example, make a permanent place for every product and every self-care implement that you use. After you use that item always return it to its home space. When things don't have a home space they end up everywhere but where they're supposed to be.
These steps are small things you can do today to make a big difference in the fight to declutter life. So, declutter for 15 minutes at a time, get rid of everything that you don't need, and make the permanent place for every item in your life.
